The Importance of Leading From the Heart

◄ by Jan Vanderwood – Hancock, NH ►

I recently attended a 3 day Attunement Workshop with Andrew Shier and Paul Price. Early before the Saturday morning session, while in meditation, I received the following writing – some call it a poem. I shared it with the group at Sunday’s closing check out.

The Importance of Leading From the Heart

Do not forget what the real work is here.

It is the work of your own spirit looking in upon itself.

It is the quiet reflection.

It is the meeting joy with joy.

Take time always to refresh yourself in the minglings of your own heart.

Remember. Remember. Remember.

All the outward machinations

can become disembodied movements

of their own workings.

Go inward, always, and let the movements flow from the centeredness of your heart; A heart that is true, pure and on target.

And do not quibble if at times it is not.

The process is one of learning and expansion.

Walk ever in your own truth

as long as it is the truth that comes from the stillness of your own heart

and the joy reaching forward from what you find therein.

Peace in your Remembrance.

  1. This was as moving the second time as it was the first. Thank you for sharing the Voice of your Heart.

  2. Thank You so much. This is exactly what I needed to hear. May I read it to others at church?(with proper author credit , of course.) Dawn
