Over the past few months, after having spent a little time in some North American cities, visiting London in England, and Sligo and Belfast in Ireland, and looking back on that time now, I noticed the sameness of it all; the same rush hour happening in all those places; people going to and fro, ad infinitum. So much of our civilization functions like this nowadays. And I thought, how did it all come to this? Is this how we all intended to spend our days? Surely this mad dream cannot go on?
Not much over 300 years ago, we planet dwellers were living mainly on the land, growing crops and rearing livestock. Then approximately 200 years ago that way of life gave way to the ‘industrial revolution’ where people were increasingly beginning to live in cities. Only 100 years ago the age of communication was beginning to take off, literally, with the advent of air travel, and the use of the telephone, telegram etc.
Fast-forward to these days and it is as if we’re all living in one virtual planetary room. New Artificial Intelligence innovations are happening at a frenetic pace, added to wars and uncertainties at leadership level amongst nations worldwide. However, all of these occurrences in the past few hundred years do seem to share a common thread in that it took just a few people discovering new ways of working and living to change the direction in which civilizations have followed.
Having attended an Attunement Gathering in Kansas City over a weekend last October, I had the privilege of spending time with people who share a vision, passionately and consciously, of being in attunement with the qualities of love and truth in momentary living, and automatically being at-one with so many more beings planet-wide who actively share this same vision.
On a larger scale this way of living doesn’t seem to be very apparent on our planet currently, if we’re to go by what the media are showcasing, but there is evidence of changes afoot. A Nobel Prize-winning chemist by the name of Ilya Prigogine pointed out that ‘when a complex system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos have the capacity to shift the entire system to a higher order.’ Indeed Martin Cecil, who was a mentor for many in the Attunement community, once remarked on this theme also: ‘Many of the things which are going on in the world apparently have no relatedness to (the creative process which is working out); no one even thinks about it. But we think about it, we know something about it, and we are aware of our responsibility … And this is very real to the extent that we are in position, in the real position.’
I believe that 100 years from now this time will be seen as a golden age, when ‘everything changed, changed utterly, a (wondrous) beauty was born’.

With so many disillusioned or with noses to the grindstone, your words remind us of what the truth really is. It only takes a few who are really committed to bring about the real changes, the heavenly changes. Thank you, Brendan, for sharing.
“a golden age, when ‘everything changed, changed utterly, a (wondrous) beauty was born’ ”
Thank you Brendan for this beautiful visual. I breathe into this and focus on this creation. It was wonderful to finally meet you, Davina, & others “face-to-face” at the Attunement Gathering in Kansas City, and to see people I had not seen since the last Annual Guild Meeting at King View. We have a wonderful community.
As a friend who lives these words Brendan, we move along in what we know the Truth of life offers to us in these precious days.
Thank you and all that are with you in the agreement we honor first.
Thank you, Brendan for your thoughtful and inspiring words. I love the image of many small islands or circles of positivity and love and how they can shift an entire ocean. I know I’m paraphrasing, but these words are so hardening and encouraging… Each one of us as an island of love with the ability to shift a larger community. I sit here in love for each and all, Sarah. Thank you
