What Occurred
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase each other doesn’t make any sense.” ~ Rumi
Thirty-nine people gathered in a circle in a room built on a sacred site. What words need to be shared in this “field”? What topics want to be considered in this field? Who needs to speak and when? What about the ideas of being right or being wrong that course through our hearts? Where do they fit? They do fit but are in need of no fixing.
Now, emptiness prevails.
There is excitement in the room as friends familiar with the Attunement of heaven and earth gather and see one another again after many months and for some many years. Such exuberance and respect fill us. And permeating it all, a field of such fineness, clarity, stillness, and peace abides. It focusses in the altar space in the center of the room. Our very placement in the room is governed by it. This field is simply loaded with possibilities of new thought, new perspective, and new intimacy.
Our mandate of those gathered: wait, watch, and listen to what is present in The Field. Be open to a rhythm and timing of things that wait in the “out beyond.” It almost didn’t matter what topics we considered. What happened was like a shimmering cloak of spirit wrapping itself around the considerations and sending them on their mission to bless and keep this world.
We shared relatively short Attunements with one another following each consideration. The dialogues that preceded the introduction of a topic were honest, concise, and of the heart. If we felt the time for words was complete, we stopped, paired up, and shared Attunement. On one occasion, unplanned and very appropriate, we simply retired to the outdoors to walk upon the land. This created a rhythm and timing of things that was seamless and clean. We were not exhausted. We were being escorted into an intensity and building current of Source. We had said in the flyer that this was a time to embrace the unprecedented and be agenda less. This is precisely where we found ourselves!
It was fulfilling to be a part of the dynamics of sustaining a current of spirit; waiting with pause to hear what was in the field, and then do. In fact, we all found ourselves together in this moment in time because, perhaps willy-nilly, we had sustained this current in our lives throughout the good, the bad, and the ugly of what goes into a human life. This fact, for purposes far beyond what the mind can see, allowed us to hold an intensity of focus and care for the delicate things that live “out beyond.”
We believe this enabled us to share what was a very intimate and deep current on the final morning. The relationship and agreement between Jesus and Mary Magdalene was a focus of our time. It wasn’t the content of their agreement that was so important, although that proved to be immense, but the quality of intimacy known through divine partnership that was revealed and known; the birthright of us all.
Nancy Rathlou, Paul’s wife, was one of those gathered. Nancy’s feelings at the end of this sacred time are eloquently expressed:
“What a remarkable event. I believe the richness and depth of the experience was drawn forth by your grace and elegance… and of course, your effortless agreement. Thank you for providing that space.
I found the shorter more frequent attunements to be very powerful. I also appreciate your guiding example, encouraging all to break protocol and trust our perceptions. Fabulous! There were six or seven of us women drawn together by spirit during the times we were not in sessions. We didn’t plan it. We just ended up gathering several times (organically) and going deep into our hearts. One would suspect that was orchestrated. I am so privileged.
Of course, there were many connections made and deepened throughout the weekend. I felt like everybody flew home with me!
So, thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you, all three and treasure this journey we share.”
We who were gathered had the joyful privilege to share this partnership, built without human hands, for a few special days.
I can feel the sanctity of those days so completely, even though I was in another physical place. Thank you for sharing these words with all of us.
Thank you for this beautiful report. I move closely with you especially in essence.
Love, Diana
