The Spirit of Durango – My Attunement Home in Colorado

Nestled in the majestic Rocky Mountains at the Southwest tip of colorful Colorado, is the city of Durango. Strategically placed in a glaciated valley, Durango “holds” the wisdom of the Ancient Ones. The Animas, known as the “River of Souls”, meanders within the heart of city, keeping a steady rhythm and pulse that creates the ambiance and spirit that moves in this sacred setting. The Four Corners of Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico come together here.

The Anasazi lived here over 800 years ago. There is a practical and mystical vibration that is sensed when hiking in the cliff dwellings of these ancient Native American people. This comes to focus in the energy of the Sleeping Ute Mountain, an hour west of Durango, which I love to visit. I hike into the ancient cliff dwellings where the Anasazi made their homes and sit across from the cliff dwellings in consciousness Self Attunement, taking in the sounds and the smells of a time gone by, yet present. The essences come alive inside of me… Joy, Peace, and a rich feeling of Antiquity and Knowing. The great mountain is a Sentinel that guards and protects the substance of this magical location.

I am privileged to live here and work in Durango. There is a spare room in my home where I share Attunement, offer Long-Distance Attunement, and mediate. I participate in a number of spiritual and energetic activities – a weekly drumming circle for women (drumming, ceremony, shamanic journeying, and dancing), women’s sweat lodge ceremonies, the Reiki Project where participants gather monthly to share Reiki amongst ourselves and the larger community, and I share Attunement on Sunday afternoons with various ones that attend Agape meetings.

I have been an early childhood educator (pre-k through second grade) since 1999 and work with 4-5 year olds on a daily basis. These young ones are like sponges, absorbing necessary developmental cognitive and social-emotional skills essential to living in these intensifying days. Each day I have the special opportunity of sharing in a reciprocal Attunement with these little ones.

I am developing my own business – Infinite Heart A Wellspring of Gratitude and Grace – through which I offer Attunement, Wellness Life Coaching, Sensory Integration Consultant, and Sound attunement with Metal Drums.

So, here I am, living in prosperity and abundance, while sharing in the Attunement process in Durango in Colorado.
