I am working with the idea of Spiritual growth and Attunement. I have noticed that the more I focus on particular issues in my life, the more I seem to need to work on those issues. It is easy, if you have been practicing Attunement, to feel as though through Attunement, everything will work out and it does, but not always the way in which one envisions. I tend to struggle with the idea of allowing the creative process to work in its own way, thinking that I am not working it right or that I am not seeing the patterns correctly. I am recognizing with more frequency that this isnt my show to direct, rather it is for me to respect that there is something larger in motion.
I am also aware of the intensification to which so many have alluded. I have seen trivialities blown into full-fledged thunderstorms with lightening and everything, blowing and blowing all around me. It seems that life for some has been one obstacle after another. I work as a high school teacher, and for the last few years, I have watched as students come to school with more and more emotional baggage while many of the teachers and administrators feel more and more beleaguered. I could blame television or the digital revolution and the dependency upon electronic devices and I am sure they play a part. However, it seems to me that part of this equation is the same intensification we have all been feeling.
I am thankful that through a series of fortunate circumstance I was introduced to Attunement for it has become an integral part of who I am. Being in Attunement for me includes living in balance in the flow in mindfulness, knowing I will find a way through the most difficult of circumstances. The storms blow, and I feel the wind, but I am shielded from the intensity that I see so many others having to go through. It is through Attunement that I have learned to accept things as they are, admit I have no idea what to do next and wait for the heartfelt moment of release where a way generally appears. Synchronicity occurs! This way of seeing and living in the world works for me. As the ability to stay in Attunement, to stay in the flow becomes more of the norm, I find assurance to remember not to force a solution, but to allow and create space for the Divine.
Claire Houston’s recent words in an IAAP blog pointed to idea that pushing against something as a way of actually feeding it energy. She said, “That which we resist, persists. A war against anything actually perpetuates the very thing undesired.” I can relate! We note the War of Poverty has created more poor people, the War of Drugs has seen the proliferation of drugs in our society, and the War on Crime has us all feeling just a bit unsafe. Holding space for Love to radiate involves getting out of the way. From a young age most of us have been taught to push for a solution to aggressively seek out solutions, to persist in our goals, to “Never, ever, ever, ever give up” as Winston Churchill said.
And so, I move toward a more complete union with the flow of the creative process. I realize more fully what it is to be working in the Creative Field of Love. Slowly, and from a deep place, I am experiencing a new way to move forward in daily living, learning to see the world for what it is I can offer, rather than what it is it can offer me. I am learning to let go, to relax. To wait in joyful anticipation for what Spirit will unfold. I share Attunement.
Today, I find I am less interested in ways of living that do not invite joy and love. I am drawing toward me people who share my world view, and those who are toxic in my life are falling away. The desire for perfection is only the ego preventing me from fully embracing the light and so I let go. Again, and again. In openness, in trust, in LOVE, I walk the path of Truth with integrity.
One of my favorite poets, Rumi said:
There is a candle in your heart,
ready to be kindled.
There is a void in your soul,
ready to be filled.
You feel it, dont you?
You feel the separation
from the Beloved.
Invite Him to fill you up,
embrace the fire.
Remind those who tell you otherwise that
Love
comes to you of its own accord,
and the yearning for it
cannot be learned in any school.

Beautiful, eloquent and inspirational words. Thank you for sharing and thank you for being you.
Erin, you always have an eloquent way of expressing Love. This is a great reminder for me as I navigate the chaos and wonder why someone is not in my life any more. I too continue on a daily sometimes multiple times a day share Attunement with myself, situations, and people. While I was sitting in my car waiting for the Police to write an accident report for the wreck that I was just in, I found myself holding the pattern of this energy. Attunement works on many situations.
Thank you, Erin for your heart-felt words, filled with the truth of what is burgeoning on earth presently. I agree, we are all feeling the intensification in our individual experience. Knowing the place of its magnificent origin and being with it in mindfulness satiates the creative field and radiates love’s message: That all is well. As I have grown to experience that giving my life’s process to God is foremost, the walking “toward” becomes a way of life. The letting go as you speak of it, is all a part of the wholeness of Being Here Now. I am so very pleased and excited to be on earth in these days!

Erin, this is a heartfelt post infused with much wisdom. I deeply appreciate your taking the time to write it. This voice so clearly speaks to the unwinding many (including me) are amidst, as we shed old layers of rules, cautions, teachings and so forth. Shared Attunement (whether sharing with ourselves, another, or creation) is an ever-present gift (for which I am, with you, so grateful). Thank you for speaking your journey so clearly that others may see – revealing the knowing of this journey as a shared one. Bonnie Jo (bjattuned@gmail.com)
