Welcome to The IAAP Global Attunement Conference.
IAAP hosts bi-monthly conferences open to all who are interested. Each conference has a specific topic and is hosted and focused by one or more Attunement Practitioners. This recording features the presentation portion of the Conference call.
The topic of this call was “Planetary Leadership”, focused by Reven Bronson (KS), Louise Broomberg (South Africa), John Murphy (MO), Brendan McMahon (England), Nancy Rathlou (Canada), Karin Schou (Denmark).

Introduction
Throughout our history leadership has taken form in many ways. There has been a place for leaders to emerge and embody so clearly the principles and actions of truth and love that people followed them and mimicked their way of Being. Their examples were so clear that religions have been built around them.
Within their example was another truth. We are capable of claiming our own tone of life, our own expression of Being. We moved into a time when we needed to become our own leader. Through our living in Attunement we chose to take responsibility for the quality of our own spiritual expression and what we offered in the way of our personal pneumaplasm. This was based on consistency in our living and knowing ourselves and not depending on the approval or inspiration of others.
Now we are in a time where through our personal leadership and building the individual tone of life in each of us, we start to become aware of the collective. We are now interacting with the collective patterns that are within us individually and are connecting us all through every level of life, from the very small interactions of cells to the relationships found in families, community, planets, and on out through galaxies and the universe. As we experience ourselves in the realms of Being through love, truth, and life we realize there are resolutions and movement of light through the cosmic breath of Being that connect and weave us all together.
A Reflection on Planetary Leadership
I have continued to think about our recent IAAP conference on Planetary Leadership and the conversation around the changing nature of leadership.
There have been times when extraordinary individuals embodied principles of truth and love so clearly that others naturally followed their example. Yet within their example was another invitation: ultimately, we are each called to discover and express our own unique tone of Being.
In Attunement, this means taking responsibility for the quality of our own spiritual expression. And perhaps, as we become centered in our own Being, individual leadership begins to open into something larger—planetary leadership.
It seems particularly significant that on August 12 we will experience a total solar eclipse and New Moon in Leo, the zodiacal sign traditionally associated with leadership. At the New Moon, the Sun and Moon—the two great lights of astrology—come together in the same place in the zodiac.
What might this union of the lights suggest about leadership?
I also appreciated John Murphy’s observation about Being and doing. For me, Being is primary because it is the source from which everything else flows. Yet doing matters. Even when we speak of “radiating without concern for results” or “focusing with intention,” we are describing actions.
Perhaps the distinction, then, is not between Being and doing, but between doing that arises naturally from Being and doing driven by effort, fear, or ego.
Perhaps this is also the essence of planetary leadership: not standing apart and directing others, but becoming sufficiently aligned within ourselves that our unique expression participates consciously in the larger pattern.
We each have our own tone to sound and our own light to bring.
Then the deeper question of leadership is not simply Who leads?
It is: What is leading through us?
