Returning to Centre

UK Gathering 16th -18th May 2025

As we ‘left our worlds at the door,’ we entered into this space of serene peace and silence, a place where it was so easy to BE. The moment we stepped through the doorway we were met with an ‘atmosphere’ unlike any other, a sacred sanctuary which has been generated over many decades and kept in this dedicated place: www.srpf.org.uk  We knew immediately that St. Katharine’s Parmoor was the perfect setting for our time together.

Our Returning to Centre weekend grew into a deeply nourishing and substantial time in our small group of six persons, one of whom travelled all the way from Holland to be with us! It was just perfect as a starting point for in-person gatherings once again here in the UK … leading to more, we trust. Something new is being born or reborn here in the UK, seeds that were sown in fertile hearts and minds over many years, even decades, are sprouting, reviving.  It is a new time.

The programme was designed to provide a ‘helicopter ride’ overview of the Principles of Being. Each component of the material formed a thread that gradually built a tapestry of the theme of ‘Returning to Centre’ from every angle. At the heart of all spiritual understanding is the fundamental truth that we are divine. The central underlying purpose was to introduce this into experience in simple but effective ways beyond mere intellectual comprehension.

Care was taken that nothing should be missed in drawing this initial picture. Subject matter included all these essential Principles of Being: The One Law, Our True Identity, Heaven and Earth and the Crossover Point, Our True Character, The Present Moment, Attunement, Response and Response-Ability, Sanctification and How Life Works – The Creative Cycle.

As we touched on these areas of Being in an elemental way, numerous other key threads and practicalities were woven in, such as: “How do we come back when we go off-Tone?’, ‘Letting Go’ and many more – after all, ‘spirituality is practicality’ and these Principles are only of value when translated into our living!

How best to capture the essence of what took place during our time together? This is probably best conveyed through the feedback of some of the participants. Whilst all personal comments regarding facilitation are deeply appreciated, the focus necessarily must be on what truly matters, namely ‘returning to centre’; this is what counts, not only for those who experienced it in our gathering but for all those who resonate with this purpose. It is with that intention and in that spirit that this feedback is shared.

Brendan McMahon:
I know that Davina’s passion is that ‘the mystery of God be finished on earth,’ and participating in this weekend, in which her unique talent for teaching came to the fore, it resulted in that process being up and running over here now. I hadn’t been to a gathering like this since the early 2000s and I did not realise how important it was for me to revisit the Divine Principles and check how well (or not!) they are working in my own life.

The sessions flowed very easily and naturally, slowly at first, and it was noticeable how the power of our time together moved from Davina to all of us over the course of the weekend evidenced by the way the tempo gradually increased, until by the time the event came to an end, we wanted more! A very good omen for what is to come in the future.

Returning to Centre offered me a gentle escape from the whirlwind of everyday life. It took me away from the busyness and chaos of the world into a space of peace, calm and clarity – even if just for a weekend. This was a new and inviting experience for me. The beautiful environment of Parmoor provided a space of tranquillity where I could fully immerse myself in this event and comprehensively absorb the course material without worldly distractions.

Davina allowed each topic to unfold seamlessly from one to the next and took care to ensure all members were at the same level of understanding before moving forward, creating a strong foundation for each topic considered. Building this foundation felt essential as the event progressed, as I found Principles from previous subject matter would resurface throughout the weekend. The idea of ‘returning to centre’ became more tangible and something which I could implement into daily life rather than just an abstract concept.

As the material under consideration developed, we were able to partake in discussions, allowing participants to provide examples and anecdotes where they may have applied these Principles in life or would go on to do so in the future. Davina integrated the natural beauty of the surroundings of Parmoor through silent walks. These outdoor sessions allowed us to briefly move away from the course and our companions to personally reflect on the things we had learned. This felt key to the process of digesting the material in order to embed the information and return with any questions.

As someone new to Attunement, I found this session to be particularly informative and engaging. Davina took us through a step-by-step guide which illustrated the overall scope of Attunement, its purpose, why it is needful, how it applies in its many ways and how it can be delivered through various avenues.  We delved into the specific glands pertaining to the practice of Attunement and how to conduct one ourselves. By the end of the session, I had developed a deep understanding of the holistic effects experienced from an Attunement which are not limited to physical but also encompass mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Overall, that Sunday afternoon I left Parmoor feeling a significant increase in stillness and a sense of being more centred within myself.

Davina:
As for my own experience with Attunement, initially I did not feel much resonance. Over a number of years there was a slow and dawning realisation that Attunement is not confined to the field of Health. Gradually Attunement started to carry meaning for me through the avenue of the spiritual education I received, and the training to translate the Principles of Being into living. I knew unequivocally that what I was resonating with was no mistake, and with it, it brought a profound sense of privilege and carried an equally profound responsibility, which continues today and ongoingly.

It is said that the words Health, Whole, Holy all share the same root at their origin. Back along the way, hearing this opened a portal for me and initiated a growing awareness that there is no avenue through which Attunement into the Light is not available. I continue to see increasingly that Attunement is available to all, through any and all avenues that are resonant with the spirit of Love, Truth and Life.

Over time my own path started to become increasingly evident. Just as it had been through spiritual education that had brought me into right orientation, into true polarity and attuned to what is Higher, so spiritual education emerged as my commission to offer likewise to others, and it is my joy and my life’s work to do so.

For me therefore this event Returning to Centre was a fulfillment. It was the bearing of fruit from many years of shared love for the Word held strongly and steadily in spiritual agreement with Wendy Mason over 40 years. Wendy passed on 30th April 2025, aged 90, just prior to this gathering which she had had every intention of attending, and there is no doubt that her Presence was felt by all of us. More than this for me, I felt her ‘hand’ in all of it. All the little shoots appearing visibly again here in the UK in manifest form, culminating in Returning to Centre thus far and what it has the potential to become, is in no small way due to Wendy. She was honoured by us in the tributes we paid to her at the beginning of our sessions.

Following the gathering, I appreciated the time to be quiet, to rest and to be still in the spirit of thankfulness, in the relaxation phase of the cycle … I find that this has purpose, allowing for the ascension of the substance generated.

More opportunities to build on this event in the future are developing. Borne on Love’s carrier wave, we stay centred peacefully, in tranquility and patience, for what holds promise beyond …
